Most people are usually a little unsettled about what to expect the first time they visit a church. You can be sure that when you visit First Baptist Church you will hear Bible-centered teaching and preaching–that is non-negotiable for us and the basis for all we do. The worship services here include inspiring music, incorporating both traditional hymns and newer choruses with choir anthems, soloists and of course congregational singing.  The people you meet will be friendly and will offer a handshake, a warm smile and an encouraging word.  There is no “dress code” here and you will see everything from “Sunday best” to business casual to just plain casual.  We believe that God is far more concerned about the condition of our heart than the style of clothes.  We are not a church for one “kind” of person and so no matter your background you will feel welcome here.
